We were recommended to them because of their experience and expertise setting up wills and trusts, especially in complicated situations. Hailey is our attorney here. From initial consultation to the final signing process, she couldn’t make the process any easier in a step-by-step approach. She understood the challenges and how to break each one down with ease.
Our situation included a disabled daughter (including how to navigate where she is dependent on social programs), our other daughter, grand kids, a second property, multiple streams of retirement funds, our primary property, numerous person possessions, kids that might not agree on who should get what.. Hailey addressed each one and presented possible solutions for each situation for us to take back and decide on. Attorney Hegedus took care of a real estate closing for us and zipped us through the process quickly but you can clearly tell that he was running an experienced eye over every document before we signed.
His staff was equally sharp and on top of the documents. We also dealt a bit with Atty Stancil with whom we have had prior business experience. He is great to deal with as well.
We have used them now for wills, power of attorney for an elderly family member, this real estate closing and to successfully arrange a favorable outcome for us when sued by an unscrupulous general contractor here in Gaston County.

Very trustworthy. I had reached out to Joy for a consultation. Once they found out I would have to file in a county that’s 1 hour away from their office, they recommended I save the travel fees and hire a different lawyer. Both Joy and Stephen took the time out of their day to find me not one, but two different lawyers in the county I needed. Joy was great at explaining and keeping me apprised of the separation negotiations and divorce process. She was quick to point out legal verbiage, that the opposing lawyer had slipped into the separation agreement, which would have adversely affected me in the long run, and had it promptly removed. There’s no way I would have caught it, had I attempted to go about the process on my own and simply signed the papers given to me. I highly recommend!
