Marie Anders

Marie Michael Anders entered the practice of law in 2012. She was East Gaston High School’s valedictorian in 2005, graduated from Wake Forest University cum laude with a Bachelor’s Degree in English in 2009, and earned her law degree magna cum laude from Elon University School of Law in 2012, where she was a member of the law review. 

Previously, Marie had the honor of practicing law in a firm with her father, Kemp Michael, for ten years before his retirement.

Marie serves as the City Attorney for the City of Mount Holly. She is a member and Past President of the Mount Holly Rotary Club and previously served on the boards of the Mount Holly Farmer’s Market, Mount Holly Historical Society, Mount Holly Rotary Club, Mount Holly Chamber, and the Mount Holly Community Development Foundation.  

She is licensed to practice law in North Carolina and South Carolina.  

She is a fourth-generation citizen of Mount Holly and is proud to serve her community and the surrounding area while working with her husband to raise their children in her hometown.

Marie practices law in North Carolina and South Carolina in the areas of commercial and residential real estate closings, title searches, deeds, wills & powers of attorney, probate estates, LLCs & corporations (including nonprofits & 501(c)(3)s), contracts, and municipal law.
